ibis Styles Brisbane Elizabeth Street is seeking a reliable Part-time Cook to join our energetic kitchen team in Brisbane. You will prepare and maintain mise en place, ensure cleanliness and food safety, and support the kitchen in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Full Australian Working Rights – role not available for sponsorship.
• Trade qualification or pursuing one in Cookery – Certificate III or higher.
• Passion for cooking and building a career within the culinary industry.
• Eagerness to learn, develop new skills, and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays, as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain mise en place to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic work environment with high standards of food quality.
• Follow stock rotation procedures and minimise wastage through inventory management.
• Ensure designated kitchen areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard.
• Clean, maintain and monitor kitchen equipment, report faults promptly to the Executive Chef.
• Receive and check deliveries, unpack produce and store stock per food safety rules.
• Perform general kitchen cleaning and housekeeping duties to support a safe workplace.

• Prepare and maintain all required mise en place to ensure efficient kitchen operations and service delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment while consistently meeting high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Follow stock rotation procedures and minimise food wastage through effective inventory management practices.
• Ensure designated kitchen areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard at all times.
• Clean, maintain, and monitor kitchen equipment, promptly reporting any faults or maintenance issues to the Executive Chef.
• Receive and check deliveries, unpack produce, and store stock appropriately in accordance with food safety requirements.
• Perform general kitchen cleaning and housekeeping duties to support a safe and organised workplace.
