Job summary

Milestones Early Learning Hillcrest, part of Affinity Education Group, is seeking a passionate Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children. You will plan seasonal menus, manage stock and budgets, ensure food safety, and engage children with healthy eating experiences in a supportive centre environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, have experience in high-volume cooking, and are committed to quality nutrition and allergy-aware menu planning.

With our centre licensed for 74 children, you'll play a vital role in supporting children's growth, wellbeing, and lifelong healthy habits in a fun and rewarding environment.

• Experience preparing meals in a high-volume environment


• Strong organisational and time management skills


• Knowledge of food safety and nutrition requirements


• Confidence managing stock ordering and kitchen budgets


• A genuine passion for children's health and wellbeing


• The ability to work independently while contributing to a supportive team culture

Essential Requirements

• Current Food Safety Supervisor and Food Handler qualifications


• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification (or willingness to obtain)


• Reliable transport


• Experience working in an early childhood setting (highly regarded)


• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification (desirable)
