Job summary

Crystalbrook Flynn in Cairns is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team. You will work with our Chefs to prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes across the hotel's dining operations while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

This part-time role offers approximately 16 hours per week on a seven-day roster, with the opportunity for additional hours. We value organized, detail-oriented cooks with a commitment to consistency and food safety.

The Opportunity:

Join the Culinary team at Crystalbrook Flynn and bring your passion for food to life in a creative kitchen that celebrates modern dining and bold flavours.

As a Cook, you will work alongside our Chefs and Kitchen leaders to prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes across the hotel's dining operations. You will help maintain consistency, minimise waste and ensure the kitchen remains clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards.

This is a part-time role offering approximately 16 hours per week across a seven-day roster, with the opportunity for additional hours.

The Talent:

You bring previous experience in a Cook role and a genuine passion for preparing quality food. Organised and attentive to detail, you understand the importance of consistency, portion control, food safety and maintaining a clean kitchen.

You will also bring:

• Confidence working in a busy, professional kitchen
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe work practices
• A positive, collaborative approach and willingness to follow direction
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
