Crystalbrook Riley in Cairns is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support a vibrant dining service. You will help keep crockery and equipment flowing, maintain clean and organized workspaces, and ensure safe handling of cleaning chemicals during all shifts.

Join a hands-on, collaborative team with opportunities to learn and grow in a luxury hotel setting, including nights and weekend rosters and a focus on guest experience.

Formación

• Experience within a kitchen, stewarding or commercial cleaning environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment, or a willingness to learn.
• Understanding of cleaning chemicals, safe handling practices and food hygiene standards.
• The ability to work efficiently and maintain attention to detail during busy periods.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to assist wherever needed.
• Availability to work a flexible roster, including nights and weekends.
• A Food Safety Certificate, or willingness to obtain one.

The Opportunity:

Behind every vibrant dining experience at Crystalbrook Riley is a kitchen operating at its best! As a Kitchen Steward, you will play an essential role in keeping our culinary spaces clean, safe, organised and ready for every service.

Working alongside our chefs and fellow stewards, you will keep crockery, utensils, pots, pans and equipment moving efficiently through the kitchen. You will maintain work and storage areas, use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, manage waste responsibly and report equipment faults before they affect service.

While previous kitchen stewarding or commercial kitchen experience will be highly regarded, we also welcome those with a genuine passion for hospitality, a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn.
