Job summary

Fresh Hope Communities is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for aged care residents in Albury, NSW. You will ensure dietary needs are met, manage texture-modified diets, and maintain allergen awareness while upholding food safety standards.

The role includes maintaining resident dietary records, assisting with stock control, and contributing to a personalised dining experience in a supportive aged care setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery / Hospitality or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Food Safety Standards.
• Completion of a HACCP course is desirable.
• A good insight into health, social or aged care services industries is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with customer service skills.
• Experience in the Aged Care Industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of meals for Aged Care Residents that meets within the residential aged care setting.
• Ensuring all dietary concerns are accommodated.
• Preparation of texture modified diets, supplements and awareness of allergens/intolerances.
• Ensuring that services provided are in accordance with the Fresh Hope Communities Food Safety Program.
• Updating resident dietary information/records.
• Efficient stock control.

Job description

As a Cook you will be a keen and reliable employeewith great communication skills and a friendly disposition. You will beresponsible for cooking fresh and nutritious meals and enhancing residents'dining experience by ensuring and maintaining a personalised andcustomer-focused approach whilst adhering to food safety practices andregulations.
