Job summary

Fuse Recruitment is seeking experienced Mechanical Conveyor Fitters for installation and commissioning of automated conveyor and materials handling systems at a major refrigerated distribution centre in Western Sydney. These permanent roles are with our client, with initial contracts running through Christmas and potential extension.

You will install, align, and maintain conveyor systems and associated equipment, read drawings, and work with electricians and crane teams.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent.
• Rigger/Dogman tickets are advantageous.
• Experience installing conveyor systems or automated materials handling equipment.
• White Card and silica awareness certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble conveyor systems, rollers, drives, motors, guards and mechanical components.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and layouts, perform alignment and fitting activities.
• Assist with commissioning and testing and conduct fault finding and adjustments.
• Work with electricians, riggers, crane crews and site supervisors to complete projects while maintaining WHS standards.
• Ensure safe work practices and maintain clean, organized work areas.
