Job summary

Davey Conveyancing in NSW is seeking a dedicated Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy Erina office on a full-time basis. You will provide essential administrative and support services to our conveyancing team, ensuring smooth processing of property transactions and timely client updates.

The role requires at least 1 year of conveyancing or legal admin experience, strong organisation and communication skills, attention to detail, and discretion. Experience with LEAP and PEXA is preferred.

  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Conveyancing Assistant or in legal administration.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a friendly, professional approach to clients and external parties.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing and processing legal documentation.
  • A proactive, methodical approach, with the ability to work independently and contribute to a supportive team.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential client information.
  • Familiarity with NSW conveyancing processes and property transactions is highly desirable.
  • Experience using LEAP and PEXA is preferred, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with preparing and collating conveyancing documents, including contracts for sale, transfer documents and settlement statements.
  • Managing client files, maintaining accurate records and keeping track of key dates and deadlines.
  • Ordering searches and obtaining certificates and other documents required for property transactions.
  • Liaising with clients, real estate agents, brokers, financial institutions and other parties to gather information and keep matters progressing.
  • Answering calls, managing correspondence and providing clients with updates.
  • Assisting with settlement preparation, coordination and document lodgement under the direction of our Licensed Conveyancers.
  • Keeping LEAP and other systems up to date, including data entry and document management.
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support and following firm procedures to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.

About the role

We are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis at our office in Erina, NSW 2250. In this position, you will provide essential administrative and support services to our conveyancing team, ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of property transactions. This role is fundamental to maintaining our high standards of client service and the timely completion of conveyancing matters. You will work alongside experienced conveyancers, supporting the delivery of our conveyancing services to clients.

Key responsibilities

As a Conveyancing Assistant at Davey Conveyancing, you’ll support our Licensed Conveyancers and help clients feel informed and supported throughout their property transaction. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with preparing and collating conveyancing documents, including contracts for sale, transfer documents and settlement statements.

Managing client files, maintaining accurate records and keeping track of key dates and deadlines.
