Job summary

NES Fircroft in Perth is seeking a Test Engineer - Controls to join a high-performing team delivering cutting-edge decarbonisation projects. You will develop requirements, test plans, and validation strategies for complex engineering initiatives in a dynamic environment.

You will coordinate vendor packages and support multi-disciplinary system integration, conducting testing and commissioning at Perth facilities and on-site as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical, Controls, Software, Mechatronic Engineering or similar.
• 2+ years' experience in mining, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.
• Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.
• Experience using tools such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Confluence, JIRA, and document management systems.
• Exposure to Python, Simulink, or Power BI will be highly regarded.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements, test plans, and validation strategies for complex engineering projects.
• Coordinate and manage specialist vendor packages across controls, automation, and robotics.
• Support system integration across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Execute testing and commissioning activities in Perth-based facilities and occasionally on site.
• Produce technical documentation and engineering deliverables to support project execution.
