  • Ensure consistent accounting policies, reporting standards, and financial controls across domestic and international entities.
  • Coordinate with local accounting, tax, and other professional advisors to support statutory reporting and regulatory compliance in each jurisdiction.
  • Evaluate and improve accounting processes, workflows, systems, and internal controls to drive efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and leverage technology, including AI, to improve the effectiveness of the Finance function.
  • Oversee international treasury operations, including cash management, foreign currency transactions, intercompany funding, and banking relationships.
  • Partner with the CFO to develop scalable global treasury practices that support the firm's liquidity needs and growth strategy.
  • Lead the continued evolution and standardization of billing processes across audit, tax, and consulting services, including fixed fee, milestone, and subscription‑based billing.
  • Establish meaningful performance metrics and dashboards to monitor the effectiveness of accounting operations.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of approximately 13 accounting professionals, including two direct reports.
  • Establish clear expectations, accountability, and development opportunities while fostering a collaborative, high‑performing team.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems and technology.
  • Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and financial planning.
  • Contribute to mergers and acquisitions, integration, and other strategic initiatives as the firm grows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the firm's financial infrastructure and support its long‑term growth strategy.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experience managing accounting operations for multiple legal entities, preferably across international jurisdictions.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, internal controls, and close processes.
  • Experience in a professional services environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success improving processes, implementing technology, and automating repetitive work.
  • Working knowledge of international accounting and financial reporting considerations, including foreign currency translation and intercompany transactions.
  • Experience with international treasury operations, including foreign currency exposure, cash management, and cross‑border banking.
  • Familiarity with accounting and regulatory requirements in Australia and Ireland is a plus.
  • Experience with financial systems and accounting technology, including ERP platforms and workflow automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across an organization.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with a willingness to get into the details when necessary.
  • A continuous‑improvement mindset and genuine curiosity about how Finance can better serve the business.
