Job summary

EGroup Protective Services Group Pty Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Control Room Operator in Sydney CBD to ensure the safety and security of clients and assets.

This full‑time role involves monitoring CCTV, access control, alarms and fire safety systems, performing audits, and coordinating contractor activities across shifts. The role requires strong written and verbal communication, basic Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to work in a rotating roster including weekends and public

Qualifications

• Experience with Control Room systems including CCTV, Access Control, integrated alarm plans and Fire Control Panels.

Responsibilities

• Manage control room operations across CCTV, access control, alarms and fire panels.
• Prepare and submit incident reports, handovers and client permits with clear written communication.
• Coordinate rovers for ad hoc requests, escorts and emergency responses.
• Liaise with contractors, tenants and premises management as required.
• Conduct regular audits and system tests, and report shift activity and incidents via the dashboard.
• Support administrative tasks and maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Assist with inductions, compliance checks and rostering as part of a team.

About the role

Due to continued expansion, we're looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Control Room Operator to join our team at EGroup Protective Services Group Pty Ltd.. This is a Full-Time position, offering the opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their assets.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Experience with Control Room systems which include, CCTV, Access Control, integrated alarm planforms and Fire Control Panels (Controller Duties)
• Intermediate level with Microsoft suite of products including outlook, word and excel
• Completing required audits and system testing throughout the shift as required and reporting all shift activity and incidents via the EGroup Dashboard (Controller Duties)
• Administrative tasks as required, including incident reports, handovers, hazard reports and client permits and excellent written and verbal communication skills (Controller Duties)
• Coordinating Rovers for ad hoc requests, contractor escorts, incident and emergency response (Controller Duties)
• Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders across various backgrounds (Controller & Rover Duties)
• Facilitation and coordination of contactors and ensuing inductions and compliance (Controller & Rover)
• Coordinate adhoc locking or unlocking of areas for contractors, tenants or premises management (subject to approvals) (Controller & Rover)
• Patrolling of the facilities, providing a physical security presence, escorting contractors on request and as directed by the controller (Rover)
• An understanding of WH&S and the ability to identify & manage risks (Controller & Rover Duties)
• Ability to work in a team environment and autonomously (Controller & Rover Duties)
• Must be physically fit or prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical (Controller & Rover Duties)
• Ability to work a rotating roster day, nights, weekends and Public Holidays (Controller & Rover Duties)
