Job summary

Brisbane City Council is hiring a Contract Manager to oversee major construction and engineering contracts at the Story Bridge precinct. You will work with project managers, engineers and suppliers to ensure performance, compliance and timely delivery.

The role is a temporary full-time position at Story Bridge Depot with a salary band of $112,055–$128,453 plus superannuation, up to 30 June 2028. Flexible working arrangements and generous benefits accompany the package.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing construction, engineering or infrastructure-related contracts.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement and commercial management principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist contract management expertise across major construction and engineering projects.

The Role

This newly created role will provide specialist contract management expertise across major construction and engineering projects. You will manage contractual performance, support procurement activities, oversee contractor relationships and help ensure Story Bridge projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements.

Working closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and consultants, you will provide commercial advice, manage risks and support positive project outcomes across a complex infrastructure environment.

To be successful you will have:

• demonstrated experience managing construction, engineering or infrastructure-related contracts
• strong understanding of contract administration, procurement and commercial management principles
• proven ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups
