Job summary

CPB Contractors is seeking highly experienced Contracts Administrator to support a major construction project based in Cairns. Sitting within the delivery teams, you will be responsible for tender packages, contract negotiations and managing variation claims and subcontractor payment claims.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, with experience in procurement and management of large subcontract packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or relevant.
• Experience in the procurement and management of subcontract packages for large-scale projects.
• Effective contract negotiation skills and ability to assess large complex claims and variations.
• Robust understanding of relevant legislation and ability to interpret and apply contracts.

Your opportunity
We are seeking to appoint highly experienced Contracts Administrator and Senior Contracts Administrator to support a major construction project based in Cairns.

Sitting within the delivery teams, you will be responsible for the following:

• Preparation and issuance of tender packages
• Negotiation and preparation of contracts for award
• Evaluation of variation claims and issuing assessments for review and approval by management
• Management of subcontractor payment claims
• Preparation and issuance of contract correspondence to Contractors

Minimum requirements for this role include the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or relevant
• Experience in the procurement and management of subcontract packages for large-scale projects
• Effective contract negotiation skills and ability to assess large complex claims and variations
• Robust understanding of relevant legislation and ability to interpret and apply contracts
