Job summary

Purple Patch Consulting is seeking Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners to partner with NDIS participants on a contractor basis. You’ll apply person-centred, evidence-based strategies to support meaningful outcomes, and work flexibly with families and support teams to tailor plans.

We welcome Core to Specialist practitioners who value growth, collaborative supervision, and ethical, professional practice, with a true emphasis on participant wellbeing and long-term development.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and experience in Positive Behaviour Support or a related discipline.
• Current NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner suitability at your recognised capability level.
• Understanding of the NDIS Behaviour Support framework.
• Knowledge of restrictive practices and reporting obligations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload and professional responsibilities.
• Appropriate screening checks and contractor requirements.
• Commitment to ethical, evidence-based and person-centred practice.

Responsibilities

• Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments.
• Developing evidence-based Behaviour Support Plans.
• Supporting participants with behaviours of concern.
• Working with families, carers and support teams.
• Providing guidance and training on behaviour support strategies.
• Collaborating with allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring and reviewing Behaviour Support Plans.
• Supporting the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices.
• Maintaining documentation in line with NDIS requirements.
• Helping participants achieve meaningful improvements in their everyday lives.
