Job summary

Western Power is seeking a Contract Manager on a 12-month secondment in Perth CBD to drive the performance of high-value contracts, ensuring alignment with the Contract Management Framework and safety/environmental compliance.

You will develop the CMP, review engagement deliverables, approve contractor plans, monitor compliance, and report on progress, variations, and contractor performance; strong negotiation and stakeholder-relations skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Business, Law or Commerce
• Contract Management Qualification
• Broad and extensive knowledge and expertise in contract management
• Significant contract management experience with high-value/complex contracts
• Strong ability to interpret contract law and related legislation
• Technical leadership and strong negotiation/communication skills
• Experience in negotiation, conflict resolution and stakeholder relations
• Ability to build relationships across a corporate environment
• Working knowledge of WP network asset inspections portfolio (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Development of the CMP meeting contractual requirements under the Contract Management Framework
• Review engagement deliverables including SHE risks register, scope of work, specifications, drawings and pricing schedules
• Ensure receipt and approval of Contractor plans in line with the contract
• Monitor and manage compliance to Contractor plans (Safety/Environmental, Quality, Schedule, Pricing Schedule)
• Verify and certify Contractors' claims including progress, variations and EOT
• Complete Contractor performance reporting requirements
