Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a seasoned Contract Manager to join our Perth, WA team on large-scale infrastructure programs. You will lead the contract management process, review terms, assess risk, and drive compliant project execution.

Collaboration with Construction, Engineering, Legal and Risk teams is essential to deliver value. You will develop procedures, monitor performance, manage claims, and support the Senior Commercial Manager with financial analyses.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of contract management for multi-disciplinary firms for major infrastructure projects.
• Experience and courses in pricing, contract law, contract drafting, administration and negotiation of change orders, effective correspondence, planning and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a contract management program for the project in line with Standard Work Process Procedures and the Contract Management Manual.
• Analyze general terms and conditions to identify risk areas and advise on mitigations; monitor and support remedial actions.
• Develop mechanisms to monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Coordinate with project team to identify constructive contract changes and recommend resolutions.
• Manage a process to recognize and identify contract claims and ensure timely resolution during changes.
• Maintain relationships with Construction, Engineering, Legal and Risk Management to facilitate interfaces.
• Provide reviews and analyses of contract financial data to the Senior Commercial Manager.
• Ensure adherence to contract insurance provisions.
