Job summary

Sydney Water is offering a permanent, full-time role (EA12-A, 35 hours) based in Parramatta with a hybrid office/home arrangement. You will coordinate metering services, manage requests, support contracts, and inspect sites to ensure safe, value-driven service delivery.

Background in contract management or utilities is desirable. Ideal candidates bring tertiary qualifications, a White Card, and experience with ERP systems like SAP.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management, project delivery, construction, maintenance, or a similar operational environment.
• Knowledge of contract administration, including compliance, probity, audit, and commercial requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage customer enquiries and stakeholder interactions.
• Ability to analyse data and present insights clearly and practically.
• Experience coordinating work programs to deliver safely, on time, and within budget.

About The Role

Join a team responsible for delivering Sydney Water’s smart meter rollout and metering services program and ensuring critical maintenance and replacement works are completed safely, efficiently, and at best value. In this role, you'll work closely with contractors, customers, and internal stakeholders to coordinate field-based delivery activities, manage service requests and customer enquiries, support contract administration and procurement processes, conduct site inspections, and contribute to contractor performance and financial outcomes. Whether your background is in contract management, utilities, energy, telecommunications, or service delivery coordination, you'll play an important role in maintaining high service standards and supporting the delivery of essential infrastructure services across the network.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the delivery of metering and maintenance services, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with operational requirements.
• Manage service requests, customer enquiries, and stakeholder issues, providing timely resolutions and a high standard of customer service.
• Support the administration of contracts through reporting, payment claim reviews, procurement activities, and compliance processes.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor works, identify risks, and support safe and effective service delivery.
• Analyse operational and performance data to provide insights and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with contractors, delivery partners, customers, and internal stakeholders to achieve positive business outcomes.

About You

• Experience in contract management, project delivery, construction, maintenance, or a similar operational environment.
• Knowledge of contract administration, including compliance, probity, audit, and commercial requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively manage customer enquiries and stakeholder interactions.
• The ability to analyse and interpret data, presenting insights in a clear and practical way.
• Experience coordinating work programs and ensuring activities are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset and confidence using business systems and reporting tools.
• Experience managing or supporting contractor performance, contract administration, and dispute resolution activities.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications, a White Card, and experience using SAP or similar enterprise systems for contract management and operational processes will be highly regarded.
