Service Stream is seeking a Contract Manager to lead the Graham Farmer Freeway contract in Western Australia. You will drive end‑to‑end leadership, commercial management and operational performance for a critical tunnel and freeway asset, coordinating with MRWA and emergency services.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance and 24/7 operations, with opportunities for fixed-term or new-year commencement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading road tunnel, motorway or complex road O&M contracts.
• Strong background in operations, maintenance and incident response.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and 24/7 staffing models.
• Commercial management experience across long-term government contracts.
• Engagement with state road authorities and emergency services is desirable.
• Current Driver’s Licence is required.

Responsabilités

• Provide overall leadership and accountability for the Graham Farmer Freeway contract.
• Ensure safe, compliant delivery of tunnel operations, maintenance and incident response.
• Lead relationships with MRWA and emergency service stakeholders.
• Manage operational performance across civil, electrical, mechanical and ITS assets.
• Oversee shutdown planning, emergency response coordination and traffic interfaces.
• Lead HSE, Quality and Environmental performance in a high-risk environment.
• Manage commercial performance including budget, forecasting, variations and cost control.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, especially during shutdowns and planned works.
• Maintain and improve asset information, AM plans and maintenance systems (e.g. MEX).
• Identify and implement continuous improvement and innovation opportunities.
• Prepare the contract for transition per client requirements.

About the Role

We have an opportunity for a Contract Manager to join our growing ASX-listed company. You will support our Transport division, providing end to end leadership, commercial management and operational performance management of the Graham Farmer Freeway contract. We are open to having this role commence in the new year and/or under a fixed term contract arrangement if you aren't looking for a permanent opportunity.

In this role you will ensure the safe, reliable and compliant operation of a critical tunnel and freeway asset, including operations, maintenance, incident response and asset management services, while maintaining strong partnerships with MRWA and emergency service stakeholders and preparing the contract for future transition.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing overall leadership and accountability for the Graham Farmer Freeway contract.
• Ensuring safe, compliant delivery of tunnel operations, maintenance and incident response services.
• Leading and maintaining strong working relationships with MRWA and emergency service stakeholders.
• Managing operational performance across civil, electrical, mechanical and ITS assets.
• Overseeing shutdown planning, emergency response coordination and traffic management interfaces.
• Leading HSE, Quality and Environmental performance in a high-risk operating environment.
• Managing commercial performance including budget, forecasting, variations and cost control.
• Overseeing subcontractor performance, particularly during shutdowns and planned works.
• Maintaining and improving asset information, AM plans and maintenance systems (e.g. MEX).
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement and innovation opportunities.
• Preparing the contract for transition in line with client requirements and future state planning.

About you

Our ideal candidate may have:

• Demonstrated experience managing road tunnel, motorway or complex road O&M contracts.
• Strong experience in operations, maintenance and incident response environments.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and 24/7 operational staffing models.
• Commercial management experience across long-term government contracts.
• Proven capability engaging with state road authorities and emergency services would be highly desirable.
• Degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce or related discipline.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
