Job summary

Solutions+ searches for an experienced Contract Manager to lead a large team delivering open space and grounds maintenance across multiple sites in Melbourne. You will oversee a $3M+ contract, drive profitability, and ensure service excellence while managing turf and playground maintenance programs.

You will build strong client relationships, coordinate maintenance works, and uphold safety, quality and environmental standards across operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management, open space maintenance, horticulture, turf management or related industry.
• Strong leadership skills across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ staff delivering high-quality open space and grounds maintenance.
• Oversee a $3M+ contract, driving performance, profitability and service excellence.
• Manage turf maintenance programs and upkeep of sporting wickets.
• Build strong client relationships and act as key contact for contract delivery.
• Oversee playground maintenance, inspections and service requirements.
• Coordinate minor infrastructure maintenance across multiple sites.
• Support ecological and environmental maintenance initiatives.
• Lead workforce planning, scheduling and team development.
• Monitor budgets, labour costs, equipment and materials to meet targets.
• Maintain exceptional safety, quality and compliance standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and service delivery.

What will you need?

• Experience in contract management, open space maintenance, horticulture, turf management or a related industry.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, develop and motivate a team across multiple sites.
• A current driver's licence, manual or automatic.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding service.
• The ability to manage budgets, resources and operational priorities effectively.
• A commitment to workplace health and safety, quality and environmental standards.
• A current National Police Check, or the ability to obtain one.
• A current Working With Children Check, or the ability to obtain one.
