Job summary

Sydney Water is seeking a Development Consultant to support development case assessments and ensure seamless delivery of essential infrastructure in a dynamic team. You will engage with planners, engineers and stakeholders while interpreting plans and managing documentation.

The role offers a 24-month contract, hybrid work options, and growth opportunities within a supportive environment. A relevant engineering/urban planning qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and delivery of results.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Urban Planning or related discipline.
• Ability to analyse options and provide strategic recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Assess submissions to identify impacts on surrounding environments.
• Provide accurate advice to customers within corporate response times.
• Maintain case management documentation with quality control.
• Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to resolve concerns and issues.
• Read and interpret plans, diagrams and maps for development and infrastructure.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and SMEs.
• Understand funding requirements and prepare funding submissions.
