Job summary

Kokoda Property in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function on a two-month contract. Reporting to the CFO, you will own month-end close, management reporting, project accounting, and oversee the finance team across development and construction portfolios.

The role requires CA/CPA, strong consolidation and Excel skills, and the ability to hit the ground running with minimal handover. Immediate start; potential extension for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in property development and project accounting is essential.
• CA or CPA qualification required.
• Strong consolidation and month-end capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and deliver consolidated statements.
• Oversee project feasibilities, actual vs budget, cost-to-complete.
• Manage bank draws, intercompany, and JV reporting.
• Ensure BAS/GST/payroll compliance and controls.
• Lead the finance team and partner with development, construction, and legal.
