Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Lead to support a portfolio of capital projects at a large industrial operation in Gladstone. You will lead electrical capital projects from planning and scope development through to execution, commissioning and handover in a live operating environment.

This 6-12 month contract role is on site in Gladstone. Initial projects include HV and LV substation cell replacements and switchgear upgrades, with opportunities to lead

Qualifications

• Experience delivering electrical capital projects in industrial settings.
• HV and LV electrical infrastructure project experience.
• Strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule and cost.
• Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer or equivalent.
• Experience with ABB switchgear or protection systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical capital projects from concept, planning and execution through to handover.
• Manage contractors, consultants and project delivery partners.
• Coordinate project scopes, schedules, budgets and risk management activities.
• Engage closely with operations, maintenance and engineering stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting to key stakeholders.
• Support procurement, vendor management and contract administration activities.
• Ensure compliance with site safety standards, engineering requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Coordinate commissioning activities and project close-out documentation.
