Job summary

Kapitol Group in Melbourne seeks a driven Contract Administrator to support procurement and delivery across major data centre projects. You’ll work within Kapitol's centralised commercial structure, collaborating with Senior Contract Administrators and project teams to drive governance, cost control and successful outcomes.

With a background in construction practice and at least three years in contract administration, you’ll bring strong procurement, reporting and stakeholder-management skills,

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related discipline.
• At least three years' experience as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction.
• Experience with JobPac, PayApps, ProcurePro or Aconex or similar systems.
• Strong understanding of procurement, subcontract administration, progress claims and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and stakeholder-management capability.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement: tendering, scope prep, tender reviews and subcontract recommendations.
• Develop procurement schedules and ensure trade packages awarded to align with project needs.
• Prepare and administer subcontract agreements under governance.
• Assess subcontractor progress claims, variations, invoices and final accounts.
• Assist with head contract progress claims, notices, variations and commercial correspondence.
• Maintain cost reporting, cash flow forecasts, accruals and project registers.
• Contribute to monthly commercial reporting, forecasts and risk reviews.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance: insurances, declarations, warranties, security.
• Collaborate with project teams, trade partners and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support project close-out: deeds of release, final accounts, retention, DLP.
