Job summary

Planned Resources is seeking a Contract Administrator to lead the commercial side of a flagship Adelaide project. You will be on-site for the life of the build, owning subcontracts, variations, progress claims and payment certificates with direct liaison to the client and site team.

Qualifications

• CA experience on commercial/industrial projects in Australia (significant scale).
• Strong grasp of standard form contracts.

Responsibilities

• Full contract administration across a $200M+ construction project, site-based in Adelaide.
• Manage subcontracts, variations, progress claims and payment certificates end-to-end.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and site team to track cost, program and risk in real time.
• Engage directly with subcontractors, consultants and the client on commercial matters.

The Business

Planned Resources is searching for a Contract Administrator in Adelaide for a highly regarded construction client who has built its name as one of the fastest-growing commercial and industrial builders in the country, with over 63% year-on-year turnover growth and a portfolio spanning manufacturing, logistics, retail and hospitality. Now we’re taking that track record into South Australia with a flagship project worth over $200 million.

We’re looking for a Contract Administrator to be based on-site in Adelaide for the life of this build, a rare chance to run the commercial side of a project of this scale from the ground up and not join a job that’s already mid-stream.

The Role

This isn’t a maintenance role on a project that’s already running. You’re in from the start in Adelaide, with the autonomy that comes from being the CA on-site rather than one of several in a head office. For someone who wants their name on a $200M+ project and a real say in how it’s run commercially, this is it.

Contract Administrator Duties.

• Full contract administration across a $200M+ construction project, site-based in Adelaide
• Manage subcontracts, variations, progress claims and payment certificates end-to-end
• Work closely with the Project Manager and site team to track cost, program and risk in real time
• Liaise directly with subcontractors, consultants and the client on commercial matters
• Own the paper trail - accurate, defensible, and ahead of problems rather than behind them

Contract Administrator Skills and Experience

• Proven CA experience on commercial or industrial projects of significant scale (ideally $50M+) in Australia
• Strong grasp of standard form contracts
• Comfortable being the person on-site who owns the numbers, not remote from the action
• Sharp attention to detail under program pressure
• Construction, quantity surveying or similar
