Job summary

Ivoclar Pacific Finance seeks an Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. The role supports financial accounting, reporting, compliance and control across Australia and New Zealand, reporting to the Head of Finance Pacific in Melbourne.

You will work on month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, cash flow analysis, audits, and tax compliance, collaborating with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and IT.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CA or CPA qualification, or currently working towards, is desirable but not essential.
• At least 2 years' experience in a financial accounting role.
• Experience with month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using SAP ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review month-end and year-end financial reporting for Australia and New Zealand.
• Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and profit and loss reviews.
• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and outstanding items.
• Support cash flow reporting and financial analysis.
• Assist with audit and tax compliance requirements.
• Review payroll and accounts payable payment runs in line with delegated authority.
• Support financial controls, reporting improvements, and process documentation.
• Assist with insurance renewals, claims, and ad hoc finance projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Care, IT, and People & Culture.
