Job summary

MECCA is seeking an experienced Content Manager to shape multimedia storytelling across editorial and marketing channels. You will work with the Content Director to bring the MECCA brand and 200+ brands to life through compelling stories across in-store, digital, print, video and events.

The role is a fixed-term contract through January 2028, offering leadership over a dynamic content team and a strong emphasis on tone of voice, quality, and commercial impact across all customer touchpoints.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in content production and editorial leadership across channels.
• Experience in beauty, retail, fashion or lifestyle is preferred.
• Exceptional writing and editing with strong tone-of-voice.
• Experience building multi-brand, multi-platform content strategies.
• Experience with video, stills, podcasts or print production.
• Proven team leadership and stakeholder management.

The Role You Could Play

As Content Manager, you will help lead the planning, creation and execution of multi-channel storytelling while guiding a collaborative, high performing content team.

• Contribute to or lead campaign ideation, storytelling and creative strategy for MECCA marketing, brand and paid campaigns, ensuring a cohesive rollout across owned and paid channels.

• Lead and mentor the content team, champion MECCA's tone of voice and use performance insights to continually strengthen reach, engagement and impact.

• Help lead MECCA's editorial and content strategy across owned platforms, including The Memo, digital channels and the in-store experience.

• Develop the monthly editorial calendar and story pipeline, aligning content with brand, campaign, trade, social and broader marketing priorities.

• Oversee end-to-end content production across formats, from briefing, commissioning, writing and editing through to approvals and publishing, including high-quality video and stills.

What You Will Bring

You are an experienced editorial and content leader who moves confidently between big-picture thinking and the details that make great work shine.

• 7+ years’ experience in content production and editorial leadership across multiple channels and formats

• Experience in beauty, retail, fashion or lifestyle will be highly regarded

• A strong portfolio of short-form and long-form work, exceptional writing and editing skills and a deep understanding of tone of voice, grammar and style conventions

• Experience developing multi-brand, multi-platform content strategies and working across digital publishing, content management systems, search engine optimisation and generative engine optimisation considerations

• Experience across video, stills, podcasts or print production, together with strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to workflows and process improvement

• Proven team leadership, mentoring and stakeholder management capability, with the confidence to give and receive constructive feedback and a genuine passion for beauty, culture and brand storytelling
