Qualifications

Summary

Our client is seeking to add a Content Creator (Marketing) to its established Big John's Pizza restaurant in Bondi, Sydney. Founded in 1985, the business has grown into a recognised hospitality brand with three Sydney locations, offering Italian cuisine, seafood and pizza. Based at its Bondi Road location, the position will support the company's digital marketing, social media presence, customer engagement and promotional activities.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop and implement digital content strategies aligned with the restaurant's marketing objectives and brand identity.
• Create photographic, video and written content showcasing restaurant menus, dining experiences and promotional offerings.
• Plan, schedule and publish marketing content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other relevant digital platforms.
• Produce and edit promotional videos, short-form reels and digital advertisements for restaurant marketing campaigns.
• Coordinate food photography and creative content for seasonal menus, special events and promotional activities.
• Develop promotional materials and creative concepts that communicate the restaurant's brand identity and customer experience.
• Monitor social media engagement and analyse content performance to identify opportunities for improved marketing outcomes.
• Research hospitality industry trends, competitor activities and customer preferences to guide marketing content development.
• Prepare website content, promotional descriptions and digital marketing materials consistent with the restaurant's brand messaging.
• Collaborate with restaurant management to plan advertising campaigns, promotional initiatives and customer engagement activities.
• Manage digital content calendars and maintain consistent branding across the restaurant's online marketing platforms.
• Analyse digital campaign results and prepare reports on audience growth, engagement and promotional effectiveness.
• Recommend improvements to digital content, search visibility and marketing strategies based on performance insights.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

• A relevant bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media or a closely related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• A minimum of 12 months' recent, directly relevant experience in content creation, digital marketing or a closely comparable role.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging photographic, video and written content suitable for commercial social media marketing campaigns.
• Proficiency in using content editing software, graphic design applications and digital tools for producing professional marketing materials.
• Practical experience managing social media platforms, scheduling content and maintaining consistent brand messaging across digital marketing channels.
• Ability to interpret social media analytics, monitor campaign performance and recommend improvements to audience engagement and reach.
• Sound understanding of digital marketing principles, consumer behaviour and promotional strategies relevant to hospitality or customer-facing businesses.
• Effective organisational, communication and creative planning skills to manage multiple content projects and meet scheduled marketing deadlines.
