Job summary

Varsity Perth is seeking a Social Content Creator to capture what makes Varsity Perth's best sports bar. You’ll shoot and edit photo and video content that highlights menu drops, arcade action, events and openings across our venues, bringing our energetic culture to life on social media.

You’ll work closely with the Marketing team to plan content, engage audiences, and grow our brand across Perth’s venues, including nights and weekends when big moments happen.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of content creation experience.
• Strong storytelling and eye for what stops the scroll.
• Confident shooting and editing with phone and camera.
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop or similar tools.
• Strong communication with venue teams and partners in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine interest in hospitality, entertainment, sport or nightlife culture.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit high-quality video, photography, Reels and social-first content across Varsity venues.
• Capture items like new menu items, arcade highlights, venue events and live sporting moments.
• Plan and deliver content supporting campaigns, promotions, venue openings, events and functions.
• Collaborate with Marketing on the social media content calendar across all Varsity venues in Perth.
• Create engaging organic content to grow Varsity’s audience and build a loyal community.
• Support content requirements across paid social, website, EDMs and other channels.
• Work with venue teams, chefs and partners to uncover stories and content opportunities.
• Coordinate creator and influencer visits and partnerships.
• Travel between Varsity venues when required.
• Be flexible to capture content outside traditional office hours.

We're looking for a Social Content Creator who can capture what makes Varsity Perth's best sports bar. From new menu drops to arcade action, to packed-out sporting events and venue openings, you'll create photo and video content that brings our fun, energetic and passionate culture to life across social media and digital platforms.

We're looking for someone who understands what stops the scroll, knows what performs across social platforms, and is excited to build a community around the Varsity brand.

What This Role Looks Like

You’ll be creating content that feels authentic, relevant and made for the platform it appears on.

Working closely with our marketing team, you’ll shoot, edit and deliver high-quality video, photography, Reels and other social-first content to support campaigns, promotions, venue openings, functions and key sporting moments.

You’ll also help shape Varsity’s social content calendar across our growing network of venues, using performance insights and emerging trends to continually sharpen what we create.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who loves being where the action is – whether that’s courtside at a major sporting event, behind the scenes with our chefs or in a packed Varsity venue on game night.

What You’ll Be Doing

Shoot and edit high-quality video, photography, Reels and social-first content across Varsity venues.

Capture everything from new menu items and chef features to arcade highlights, venue events and major live sporting moments.

Plan and deliver content supporting campaigns, promotions, venue openings, events and functions.

Collaborate with the Marketing team on the social media content calendar across all Varsity venues in Perth.

Create engaging organic content designed to grow Varsity’s audience, increase engagement and build a loyal community.

Support content requirements across paid social, website, EDMs and other marketing channels.

Work directly with venue teams, chefs and other partners to uncover stories and content opportunities.

Coordinate creator and influencer visits and partnerships, helping build strong ongoing relationships.

Travel between Varsity venues when required.

This isn’t your average 9-5. Some of Varsity’s best moments happen at night and on weekends, so flexibility to capture content outside traditional office hours is essential.

About the Employer

Varsity is Perth’s home for big games, late nights, and rad times. With 9 massive venues – soon to be eleven – you’ll have massive arcades, supercharged bowling lanes, and the dopest FOH/BOH crew at your disposal.

About the Candidate

2-4+ years’ experience in content creation, with strong photography, filming and editing skills.

A natural ability to tell stories and a strong eye for what stops the scroll.

Confidence shooting and editing your own content using both a phone and camera.

Experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop, or similar editing tools..

Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with venue teams, chefs, creators and external partners in a fast-paced environment.

A genuine interest in hospitality, entertainment, sport or nightlife culture – and ideally, you’re someone who genuinely wants to hang out at Varsity.
