Job summary

ERM is seeking an Environmental Consultant to join the Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation team in Perth CBD. The role focuses on fieldwork, site investigations and remediation across WA, contributing to diverse projects and reporting deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years in contaminated land consultancy, holds a relevant degree, and demonstrates strong health and safety practices, with willingness to travel and supervise field programs.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years' contaminated site management consulting experience.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental engineering, geotechnical or related science subject.
• High appreciation of health & safety on complex sites, including intrusive drilling and excavation works.
• Leadership and coordination of field programs, mentoring junior colleagues.
• Experience supervising and managing subcontractors on site.
• Competency in site investigation and sampling techniques (soil, water, soil vapour) and ASC NEPM knowledge.
• Willingness to travel.
• Authorised to work full-time in Australia and hold a Full Class C Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fieldwork programs, including subcontractors on site.
• Conduct environmental assessments and remediation with data collection (soil, water, soil vapour, groundwater).
• Prepare inputs into complex technical reports per guidelines and legislation.
• Electronic data management and borelog/summary table production.
• Assist with client proposals and budgeting.
• Support project managers in planning and delivering field programs.
