Job summary

Tetra Tech Coffey is delivering environmental and contaminated land services for a major metals refinery closure in Northern Territory. The role is a 12-month, full-time, site-based project with FIFO (2:1 or 2:2) from any Australian location to Nhulunbuy.

You will provide on-site soil validation advice and sampling supervision on remote remediation works. You will work daily with the client, delivering practical environmental advice to support remediation objectives and Remediation Action Plan

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of contaminated land consulting experience.
• Experience conducting soil and surface water sampling, delineation and validation sampling on brownfield/industrial sites.
• Experience supporting civil earthworks.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Current, unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
• Ability to meet company & project medical requirements.
• Confident working independently in remote FIFO settings.

Responsibilities

• Field delivery: collect soil and surface water samples, complete assessments, delineation and validation sampling.
• Manage health and safety on a large remediation project with heavy plant movements.
• Provide field-based material advice to the remediation contractor.
• Oversee material tracking and compliance with remediation plans.
• Maintain QA/QC and field records.
• Undertake field pH testing.
