Job summary

NRMA Insurance is seeking a Consultant in our CTP Claims team to support injured motorists through recovery and claims management. You will handle a portfolio of litigated and injury CTP claims, applying legislation and standards with empathy to achieve efficient outcomes.

As a Consultant in our CTP Claims team, you'll support people who have been injured in a motor vehicle accident, helping them navigate their recovery journey. You’ll manage a portfolio of litigated and injury CTP claims, combining technical know-how with empathy to ensure every claim is managed efficiently and to the highest standard. This is a permanent full-time role ideally based in Meanjin (Brisbane) but can also be based in Gadigal Country (Sydney).

What You'll Do

• Effectively manage a portfolio of complex CTP claims to meet customer and financial demands within expected delivery timeframes.
• Build strong relationships with injured people, rehabilitation providers, healthcare providers, legal representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Enable injured people to get back to work and back to health faster by applying your knowledge and understanding of the relevant legislation, guidelines, regulations, compliance obligations and quality management.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while supporting customers through challenging and often emotional circumstances.

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in the insurance industry ideally managing CTP claims. Knowledge of Workers Compensation/CTP/Public Liability insurance and medical/healthcare industry is advantageous.
• Empathy, resilience and the ability to remain calm and professional when handling sensitive or challenging situations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Strong organisation skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships with peers, customers and business partners.
• Confidence using technology and navigating multiple systems.
