Job summary

Your pool and Spa is seeking a seasoned Construction Division lead who will report to the Managing Director. You will manage a Site Supervisor and oversee trades, budgeting, and client communications across multiple pool projects, ensuring on-time delivery and margins.

The role emphasizes planning, reporting, and proactive adoption of new construction methods and technologies. Based in Sydney's Willoughby area, the position requires hands-on site oversight and a strong track record in project

Qualifications

• Hold a trade in carpentry or landscaping.
• Experience supervising pool construction.
• Knowledge of concreting, structures, set out and excavation.
• Highly organized and able to run several projects simultaneously.
• Work independently and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Plan each project before work begins (demolition, excavation, concrete, cranes, inspections, QA).
• Schedule trades and ensure work meets standards and timelines.
• Maintain clear client communication and resolve issues.
• Oversee budgets, variations and closeouts to protect margins.
• Lead site safety across all projects.
• Maintain accurate records (timesheets, diaries, photos, variations).

Job description

You'll report to our Managing Director and be accountable for the delivery and financial performance of the construction division. The role leads a Site Supervisor and manages the trades on each project, many of whom have worked with us for years. Around 80% of the role is reporting, planning, organising and managing, with the rest spent on site.

Key responsibilities

Planning each project before work begins, including demolition, excavation, structural concrete, cranes, inspections and quality control, trade bookings and material order.

Scheduling trades and holding the work to agreed standards and timeframes.

Managing consistent client communication through each project and resolving issues as they come up.

Overseeing budgets, variations and closeouts so each job finishes on margin.

Leading site safety across all projects.

Keeping accurate records of timesheets, site diaries, photos, variations and back-costing projects.

About you

Hold a trade in carpentry or landscaping, or have experience supervising pool construction.

Practical knowledge of concreting, structures, set out and excavation.

Highly organised and able to run several projects at once.

Work independently.

Experience in project management and comfortable working with clients.

Proactive in uptake of new technology, construction methods and trends in the outdoor living/landscaping space.
