Job summary

G.J. Gardner Homes Taree is seeking a Construction Supervisor to oversee residential projects from planning to completion in the coastal NSW region.

You’ll lead on-site teams, manage site works on complex terrains, and ensure timelines and quality benchmarks are met. This role emphasizes strong organisation, digital scheduling, and financial accountability, with access to company tools and a collaborative, supportive team culture.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Management: oversee residential housing from planning to completion.
• Lead on sloping/complex sites, manage site works and structural requirements.
• Utilise digital scheduling and documentation tools to maintain plans and variations.
• Provide client updates with photos, written and verbal communication.
• Review and approve supplier invoices with on-site verification.
• Enforce WHS compliance and uphold high-quality benchmarks.

We need a well-rounded supervisor with the administrative discipline to manage our digital systems and project financials, while possessing the deep practical building knowledge required to successfully run complex jobsites.

What You'll Be Doing

• End-to-End Project Management: Oversee all aspects of residential housing projects from planning to completion, ensuring strict adherence to timelines and premium quality standards.

• Sloping & Complex Site Leadership: Lead challenging builds on sloping terrain, managing site works, retaining, and unique structural requirements with confidence.

• Digital Scheduling & Documentation: Utilise project management tools and G.J. Software on computers and tablets to maintain accurate plans, site schedules, variations, and specifications.

• Client Connection: Provide professional updates to clients—including regular photos, written, and verbal communication—which is vital for our many interstate and long-distance clients.

• Financial Accountability: Review and approve incoming supplier and trade invoices. You will be expected to verify that the items and quantities are physically correct on-site before approving, rather than just "flicking them through."

• WHS & Quality Control: Enforce strict Work Health & Safety (WHS) compliance on-site to ensure everyone goes home safe. Take pride in your work by holding local trades and suppliers accountable to our high-quality benchmarks.

• Proven Tech Literacy: Excellent computer skills are crucial. You must be highly comfortable using tablets, computers, and various apps for project management and OHS.

• Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of National Construction Code (NCC) rules and regulations (with full access to our internal resources to look up specifications when needed).
