G.J. Gardner Homes Colac Surf Coast is seeking a proactive Construction Supervisor to join our growing team. You will be the boots on the ground, coordinating trades and managing approximately 10 builds from frame through handover across the Colac/Surf Coast region.

We value hands-on leaders with trade backgrounds, strong time management, and a friendly, professional client-facing approach. This role offers a supportive local culture and clear growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (Carpentry preferred) or experience in a supervisory role.
• Able to manage multiple jobs across sites with strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and schedule subcontractors across sites to ensure timely completions.
• Conduct regular site inspections to meet 5-star quality and safety standards.

G.J. Gardner Homes Colac Surf Coast is looking for a proactive, organised, and personable Construction Supervisor to join our growing team. Since opening our doors just over 12 months ago, we have established a strong presence in the local community and are seeing a steady, exciting increase in new home builds.

We are looking for a "hands-on" leader. Whether you are an experienced Supervisor from a boutique or custom building background, or a qualified Trade Professional (e.g., Carpenter) ready to step into a management role, we want to hear from you. We value the right attitude, excellent time management, and a "take-charge" approach.

This is a key role in a fresh, dynamic environment. You will be the boots on the ground, managing approximately 10 builds at once from frame through to handover. We service a large, diverse region; while our projects are widespread, we can look at adjusting project territories where possible to align with the successful candidate's location.

What You'll Be Doing

• Trade Management: Lead and schedule subcontractors across sites to ensure seamless workflows and timely completions.




• Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure every build meets G.J. Gardner’s 5-star quality and safety standards.




• Client Connection: Act as the professional face of the build - provide regular updates and manage expectations with a friendly, personable approach.




• Problem Solving: Use your technical knowledge to identify on-site hurdles early and implement smart solutions to keep projects moving.




• Safety First: Ensure all sites comply with OH&S requirements and maintain a professional, organized work environment.

What You'll Bring

• Location: You live in or near the Colac, Otway or Great Ocean Road Surf Coast Regions




• Background: A trade qualification (Carpentry preferred) or experience in a supervisory role. We are happy to consider junior candidates with strong trade skills and the right mindset.




• Highly Organised: Exceptional time management skills; you can manage multiple jobs at once without losing focus on the details.




• Personable & Professional: A genuine, customer-focused communication style. You can lead trades effectively while building great rapport with clients.




• Proactive Attitude: You don’t wait for things to happen; you see what needs to be done and you act on it.




• Licensing: A valid Australian Driver’s License is essential.
