Job summary

Piper Alderman is seeking an experienced Associate with 3-6 years PQE to join our busy Projects & Construction team in Sydney. You will handle a broad range of building, construction and infrastructure matters for developers, head contractors, consultants and subcontractors, with exposure to front end and back end work across 2-3 partners.

You will draft contractual and litigation documents and provide commercial advice, while working autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

Admitted to practice with about 3 years PQE in construction/projects.
Experience in both front-end and back-end work.
Strong academic record.
Excellent technical legal drafting skills.
Ability to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.
Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Willingness to learn and grow with Piper Alderman.

Responsibilities

Draft contractual and litigation documents.
Provide commercial legal advice to stakeholders across construction industry.
Work autonomously and as part of a team with internal and external clients.
Engage on front-end (non-contentious) and back-end (contentious) work across multiple partners.
Participate in learning opportunities and CLE programs.
