Job summary

NSW Public Works, part of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee building and civil infrastructure projects on the client-side. You will manage contracts, evaluate claims and negotiate, while ensuring time, cost, quality, safety and environmental targets are met.

The role involves regular site inspections, delivering projects of varying complexity, and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

Appropriate trade, post-trade or tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, architecture, building, construction management, or relevant field experience.
Demonstrated understanding and experience in managing the planning, procurement and delivery of building projects, or civil works.
Contract management experience, including consultant contracts or construction contracts and preferably GC21 and MW21 contract administration.

Responsibilities

Manage and contribute to the planning and delivery of building and civil infrastructure projects with time, cost, quality, safety and environment targets.
Responsible for the management and administration of contracts, including claims evaluation and negotiation.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders and participate in business development activities to pursue opportunities.
