Job summary

Instant Screw Piling is seeking a hands-on Labourer for outdoor screw pile installations across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW. You will work as part of a small crew around excavators and heavy machinery, handling steel piles and equipment.

You must be reliable, physically fit and able to start early mornings. Current HR and Australian Driver Licences, plus a White Card, are required, with at least 1 year of construction or labouring experience.

Qualifications

• Current HR Driver Licence is required.

• At least 1 year of construction, labouring or trade assistant experience.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of steel screw piles.
• Work alongside excavators and other machinery.
• Manually handle piles, tools and equipment.
• Load and unload equipment and materials.
• Drive company vehicles and trucks as required.
• General construction and labouring duties.
• Keep trucks, equipment and work areas clean and organised.
• Follow SWMS, site requirements and safety procedures.
• Work closely with operators and installation crew.

Job description

This is a hands-on, physical construction role. You will be working outdoors, around excavators and heavy machinery, handling steel piles and equipment, travelling to different job sites and working as part of a small crew. Instant Screw Piling installs steel screw piles on residential and commercial construction sites throughout the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Northern NSW.

This is not a light-duty Trade Assistant position. The work can be physically demanding, dirty and outdoors in Queensland conditions. Our crews work on active construction sites and around heavy machinery, so reliability, common sense and safety are extremely important.

We are looking for someone who turns up on time, works hard, listens, learns and contributes to the crew.

Key responsibilities

Assisting with the installation of steel screw piles

Working alongside excavators and other machinery

Manual handling of piles, tools and equipment

Loading and unloading equipment and materials

Driving company vehicles and trucks as required

General construction and labouring duties

Keeping trucks, equipment and work areas clean and organised

Following SWMS, site requirements and company safety procedures

Working closely with our operators and installation crew

About you

Current HR Driver Licence

Current White Card

Current Australian Driver Licence

At least 1 year of construction, labouring or trade assistant experience

Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual work

Reliable transport to get to our Burleigh Heads premises

Ability to reliably attend early morning starts

A good work ethic and willingness to work as part of a small crew
