Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking a Casual Construction Assistant to support on various building, landscaping and industrial projects. Immediate start with reliable weekly pay and potential permanent roles after proving yourself on site.

You will assist skilled trades, prepare sites, handle materials, and perform physically demanding labour across commercial and residential settings. Must have White Card, 12 months experience, and a valid driver licence. PPE supplied by you or site.

• Construction White Card is required.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different, with opportunities to work across a variety of industries including:

• Commercial and residential landscaping
• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Container unloading
• Site clean-ups and final cleans
• General manual handling duties

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assembling products
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card

• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Hard hat
• Safety glasses
• Work gloves
• High-visibility clothing
