Job summary

Guidera O'Connor Pty Ltd is seeking a Construction Manager to lead on-site construction activities for major projects, ensuring safety, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness from first engagement through handover.

You will work with Project Managers, in-house Design Team, Project Engineers, Site Supervisors and Trades staff, delivering quality outcomes aligned with project specs and policy.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading construction projects in a similar role.
• Solid construction industry knowledge and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong safety and quality focus with effective team leadership.

About the Role

Working with the Project Managers, in-house Design Team, Project Engineers, Site Supervisors and Trades staff; the Construction Manager is responsible for leading the site construction activities of projects from first engagement to handover in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner; with a quality focus and adherence to company policy, customer expectations and project specifications. The Construction Manager will be a key resource on upcoming large ($70M+) projects.

About you

• Extensive experience in a similar role in construction
• Solid construction industry knowledge
• Have a Diploma or higher in Project or Construction Management
• An ability to effectively lead and manage teams of people coupled with an ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
• Self-motivation and strong communication skills
• Well-developed problem-solving skills
• A strong safety and quality focus
• An ability to influence others while making sound decisions
• Water industry experience is highly valued
