Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment represents a growing Sydney-based construction business seeking a Finance Manager to own day-to-day finance and partner with Directors and project teams.

Based in Sydney, you will manage AP/AR, payroll, month-end, WIP and project profitability, deliver monthly management accounts and cash-flow forecasts, and contribute commercial insight to growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, building, engineering or related project-based environments.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, WIP, job costing and project profitability.
• Experience managing the full accounting function.
• Strong month-end, management reporting and forecasting skills.
• CA/CPA qualification or working towards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance function including AP, AR, payroll and month-end processes.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, cash-flow forecasts and financial reports.
• Manage WIP, project financials, revenue recognition and cost reporting.
• Monitor project profitability and budgets, variations and financial performance.
• Collaborate with external accountants, auditors and advisers.
• Provide commercial insights and support Directors on growth initiatives.
