Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a skilled OHS Leader to drive safety leadership across large construction, installation and commissioning projects. You will develop plans, lead audits and investigations, and oversee high-risk activities with project teams and subcontractors.

The role emphasises stakeholder collaboration, adherence to Australian WHS/OHS standards, and ongoing safety culture improvements across field operations.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Construction safety qualifications and training relevant to the role.
• Incident investigation and auditing qualifications are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead OHS requirements across major construction, installation and commissioning projects.
• Develop, implement and maintain project-specific OHS Management Plans and safety documentation.
• Provide practical OHS leadership to Project Managers and site teams.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, risk reviews and compliance assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses; implement corrective actions.
• Promote safety culture through toolbox talks, meetings and initiatives.
• Manage subcontractor OHS performance and onboarding.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders on OHS matters.
