Job summary

Vertiv Co in Melbourne is seeking a Site Manager to lead the delivery, installation and commissioning of critical infrastructure projects on-site, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and high-quality results while coordinating with the project team, the General Contractor and subcontractors.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to drive daily targets while maintaining strong relationships with site personnel and stakeholders across all site operations.

Qualifications

• Completion of trade – electrical or mechanical preferred.
• Cert IV in Building & Construction or Diploma equivalent.
• White/general construction card.
• LVR/CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily pre-start and toolbox talks with Vertiv customer engineers and subcontractor.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise Vertiv equipment delivery to site, interfacing with GC and other site trades.
• Represent Vertiv at all required site project meetings.
• Manage relationships with site personnel (builders, contractors, engineers and installers).
• Coordinate & supervise Vertiv employee and contractor site activities such as installation, commissioning/testing, access & energisation permits.
• Complete project site reporting and documentation requirements (tracking sheets, delivery check lists, progress reports).
• Oversee defect rectification and close out.
• Drive team to achieve daily targets and motivate to promote good morale and teamwork.
