Job summary

Law Staff is offering a Senior Associate role in Queensland, Brisbane, focusing on construction law and high-value disputes. You will work with leading Partners on landmark projects, international arbitrations and major infrastructure matters, with clear progression and potential partnership.

The role offers hybrid working arrangements (1–2 days from home after induction), attractive remuneration, and opportunities to be involved in significant projects across Queensland and nationally.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ PAE in construction law or commercial litigation.
• Experience handling complex disputes and/or major projects.
• Strong technical, analytical and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex construction disputes and international arbitrations.
• Advise on major infrastructure projects and risk allocation.
• Represent clients in high-value matters and court/tribunal proceedings.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and pursuit of new opportunities.

• Billion-dollar international arbitrations
• Major project adjudications involving disputes worth hundreds of millions of dollars
• Infrastructure litigation and Security of Payment claims
• Contractual, construction risk and project advisory work
• Major projects across Queensland and nationally
• Acting for leading developers, contractors, consultants and subcontractors
• Attractive remuneration: Senior Associate packages of approximately $250,000, depending on experience

You will ideally have:

• 4+ years’ PAE in construction law or commercial litigation
