Job summary

Pearl Recruitment Group is helping a well-established landscape gardening company place a Construction Assistant who can progress into supervision, with a clear pathway to a future team-leader role across the Perth area.

The permanent, full-time position offers $70,000–$80,000 plus super and a company vehicle, along with growth opportunities, training and a supportive team environment on Perth Metro projects.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, civil, landscape or gardening industries.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manual driver's licence and construction white card.
• Full Australian working rights for long-term, full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Construction Supervisors on hard/soft scape applications and irrigation across the Perth Metro Area.
• Establish and maintain the site (amenities, fencing, access, traffic management), perform daily setup tasks, coordinate deliveries, and operate plant/equipment as required.
• Coordinate subcontractors and on-site staff, complete daily site diaries and quality documentation, attend meetings and training, participate in company communication processes, and perform other reasonable duties aligned with the role.
• Implement and maintain safety systems, documentation and reporting (pre-starts, inductions, permits, SWMS, inspections, incident reporting).
• Any other general construction trade assistant / gardening duties, working independently when supervisors are off site.

Our client is a well established, respected and leading company within the landscape gardening industry, currently looking to add a Construction Assistant to their team. This position can be seen as a Team Leader role, being a direct pathway into a Supervisory role in the future.
