Job summary

Whittens is seeking a Concrete Pump Operator to support on our east coast projects. You will operate and maintain pumping equipment, perform pre-start checks, and assist with setup and breakdown on site.

The role requires at least five years of experience, a High Risk Boom Ticket, and a current HR class driver’s license. Strong safety focus and team collaboration are essential, along with good communication with crew and site management.

Qualifications

• High Risk Boom Ticket required.

Responsibilities

Role And Project Details

Due to continued growth and increasing scope of works, Whittens are actively recruiting for a Concrete Pump Operator to work on our east coast projects. As a Concrete Pump Operator you will be responsible for the following:

• Operating and maintaining concrete pumping equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Assisting with the set-up and breakdown of concrete pumping equipment on site.
• Conducting pre-start checks and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Performing concreting duties as needed to support the concrete crew.
• Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations.

To be successful in this role

• Relevant qualifications as a Concrete Pump Operator (High Risk Boom Ticket).
• At least five years’ experience as a Concrete Pump Operator in the construction/ mining industry, including long line experience.
• Current Australia Drivers License (HR Class).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Effective time management and attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
• A positive attitude with a strong safety focus.
