Job summary
Jancode Pty Ltd in Cairns, Queensland, is hiring a Concrete Labourer / Steel Fixer / MR Truck Driver / Excavator Operator to support skilled trades on diverse construction sites. A full driver’s licence and HR licence are required; MR/HR licences with concrete experience grant immediate start.
Responsibilities include preparing work areas, assisting with concrete pouring, steel fixing, formwork, operating excavators and skid steers, loading/unloading equipment, and maintaining safety and site
Qualifications
- White Card (Construction Induction) is required before start.
- Minimum 6–12 months excavator operating experience.
- HR or MR truck licence is advantageous for immediate start.
- Full driver’s licence is required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare work areas by clearing debris and setting up equipment.
- Assist in concrete, steel fixing, and formwork.
- Pour and finish concrete using shovels, rakes, and vibrating equipment.
- Cut, drill, and finish concrete surfaces as directed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Load and unload machinery to sites.
- Operate Excavators & Skid Steers.
