Job summary

Geelong Premix, part of Barro Group, is seeking a Concrete Plant Batcher/Shipper in Geelong. The role focuses on accurate batching and allocation of concrete to meet customer requirements, with loader/yard duties and a commitment to safety.

Training is provided for those who show genuine desire to learn. Applicants should be flexible with hours Monday to Saturday and be able to work as part of a team across site operations.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with computerised batching systems is desirable and training is provided.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Strong customer service orientation and phone manner.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication; works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Meet customer requirements by ensuring quality product is delivered.
• Accurate batching of orders using the Command Batch computer system.
• Allocate trucks to ensure timely concrete deliveries.
• Batch plant administration including stock control of raw materials.
• General yard and plant housekeeping and maintenance; loader operation.
• Follow company safety systems and work safely.

GEELONG PREMIX (a part of Barro Group) is seeking a Concrete Plant Batcher/Shipper whose primary focus will involve batching and allocating concrete in accordance with quality standards and customer requirements and loader/yard duties

Position available in Geelong area.

Training provided - applicants who have a genuine desire to learn and possess the ability should apply.

The key responsibilities:

• Meet customer requirements by ensuring quality product delivered

• Accurate batching of orders utilising the Command Batch computer system

• Allocation of trucks ensuring timely concrete deliveries

• Undertake batch plant administration including stock control of raw materials

• General yard and plant housekeeping and maintenance; loader operation

• Follow company systems including working safely

The key skills, experience and attributes:

• Knowledge or experience in computerised batching system is desirable but not essential - training provided

• An ability to multi task and at times work under pressure

• Possess an excellent customer service phone manner

• Current HR driver's licence would be an advantage

• Possess excellent time management and organisational skills

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

• A proven ability to work within a team environment

The nature of our work requires you to work as part of a team and you will need to be flexible with how your hours are worked Monday to Saturday as there will be varying start and finish times.
