Job summary

GBM Contractors is seeking an experienced Concrete Agitator Driver / Civil Labourer / All-Rounder to join our Gippsland and regional Victoria projects. You will operate a concrete agitator truck, assist on-site, and contribute to drainage, roadworks, and general civil maintenance.

Role involves daily vehicle inspections, concrete finishing, and working with licensed plant. A White Card and HR/HC trucking capabilities are essential, with travel across regional Victoria expected.

Qualifications

• Previous concrete agitator truck driving experience is essential.
• White Card is required for on-site work.
• Experience in civil construction or concreting is preferred.
• Ability to pass police and safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a concrete agitator truck.
• Deliver concrete safely to job sites and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Assist with concrete preparation, boxing, pouring and finishing.
• Support civil works including drainage and roadworks.
• Operate licensed plant and equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Concrete Agitator Driver / Civil Labourer / All-Rounder

GBM Contractors is seeking an experienced and reliable Concrete Agitator Driver / Civil Labourer / All-Rounder to join our growing team, working across a variety of civil construction and concreting projects throughout Gippsland and regional Victoria.

This is a hands-on, varied role that combines operating our concrete agitator truck with assisting the crew on-site across a range of civil construction activities. No two days are the same, with work including footpaths, roadworks, drainage, guardrail projects, concrete works and general civil maintenance.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

• Operating and driving a concrete agitator truck

• Delivering concrete safely and efficiently to job sites

• Conducting daily vehicle inspections and maintaining equipment standards

• Assisting with concrete preparation, boxing, pouring and finishing

• Supporting general civil works including site preparation, drainage, roadworks and labouring tasks

• Operating plant and equipment where licensed and experienced (excavator, skid steer, etc.)

• Working collaboratively with the team to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes

Our work is predominantly throughout Gippsland, with some travel across regional Victoria and occasional away work (LAFHA).

Essential Requirements

• Previous concrete agitator truck driving experience (essential)

• HR Truck Licence (minimum)

• Construction Induction (White Card)

• Previous experience in civil construction, concreting, or a similar hands-on role

• Strong work ethic with a willingness to assist across all aspects of the business

• Ability to pass a Police Check

• Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening

• Ability to pass a Fitness for Work and Fitness to Drive assessment

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• HC Truck Licence

• Excavator and/or skid steer operating experience

• Traffic Control tickets

• Final trim experience

• Drainage, retaining wall or general civil construction experience
