Job summary

Australian Unity in Melbourne is seeking a Concierge to be the welcoming face of our Head Office, delivering a warm and professional experience to employees, visitors and guests. Reporting to the Concierge and Operations Manager, you will manage sign-in, directions, and support for meetings, events and building operations.

You may come from a concierge, corporate reception or premium customer service background.

Qualifications

• Experience in concierge, corporate reception, hotel, airline lounge, events or premium customer service environments.

• Welcome visitors and provide a warm, polished and personalised experience.
• Assist guests with signing in, notify their hosts and provide directions.
• Deliver an elevated arrival experience for VIP guests and large groups.
• Monitor expected visitors and prepare for busy periods throughout the day.
• Respond to enquiries and ensure requests are addressed promptly.
• Assist with basic audiovisual support and coordinate technical assistance.
• Help prepare meeting rooms and shared spaces for events and functions.
• Build positive relationships with employees, visitors and building tenants.

About the Opportunity:

As a Concierge, you will be the welcoming face of Australian Unity’s Head Office, creating a positive and professional experience for employees, visitors, VIP guests, contractors and other building tenants.

Reporting to the Concierge and Operations Manager, this role goes beyond traditional reception duties. You will manage the visitor arrival experience, assist with enquiries and wayfinding, support meeting rooms and events, and work closely with teams including Security, AV, Food and Beverage, cleaning and maintenance.

About You:

You may have previous experience in a concierge, corporate reception, hotel, airline lounge, events or premium customer service environment. More importantly, you will be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and understands how important a warm and professional first impression can be.

You will be confident communicating with people at all levels and able to remain calm and organised when managing multiple visitors or requests. A polished presentation, proactive approach and strong attention to detail will help you succeed, along with the flexibility to assist with occasional extended hours, events and changing workplace priorities.
