Job summary

Oilpath Hydraulics in Adelaide is seeking a full-time CNC Machinist to join our on-site workshop. You will operate CNC machine centres and lathes, mill parts, and ensure parts meet exact specifications.

You should read engineering drawings, work with micrometers and dial gauges, and maintain a safe, organised production environment while supporting quality control and continuous improvement. Experience with Mazak controls and metals like aluminum, cast iron and stainless steel is preferred.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Adelaide for a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for machine operation, machining, milling, machinery, and quality control. The CNC Machinist will also be responsible for ensuring that products meet customer requirements, adhering to health & safety requirements, and maintaining the machines used for production.

Qualifications

• Experience in machine operation, machining, milling, and quality control
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience with CNC machine centres and or lathes milling machines
• Proficient in the use of measurement instruments such as micrometers, dial gauges, and vernier calipers
• Experience in quality control and inspection of machined parts
• Experience with CNC programming and Mazak control systems
• Knowledge of materials such as aluminum, cast iron and stainless steel
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
• Certification or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
