Job summary

Macmahon is seeking a workshop technician to rebuild and service Earthmoving equipment at Perth Airport. You’ll work with a skilled team to keep fleets safe, reliable and on plan, following OEM standards and site procedures.

Trade-certified and licensed, you’ll bring Caterpillar system experience and a collaborative mindset. The role offers a residential Perth location, a choice of rosters, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised Trade Certificate (Cert III in Mobile Plant).
• High Risk Licences LF and DG (DG advantageous).
• Experience with Earthmoving equipment and Caterpillar systems.

Responsibilities

• Strip, clean and rebuild components.
• Complete servicing to OEM standards and site procedures.
• Support equipment availability and safe, reliable performance.

The Workshop undertakes a range of tasks to manage Macmahon's fleet of equipment, as well as maintenance projects for external clients. The workshop is undercover and houses the rebuild workshop, quarantine, sandblast and paint shop, component workshop and warehouse store.

Our maintenance teams take pride in keeping our sites operating safely and efficiently. You'll work with skilled people, who look out for each other and take pride in doing the job right. Together, we keep our fleet safe and reliable.

About the Role

You'll carry out rebuilds on final drives, transmissions, torque convertors and differentials. You'll work alongside experienced teammates who share knowledge and support each other to get the job done safely and efficiently.

Role Details and Benefits

• Location: Perth Airport, WA (residential)
• Roster: Mondays - Fridays OR Alternative (with 7 Night Shift every 4 weeks) - you choose!
• Rate: depending on experience

• Experience with Caterpillar Systems (ET, SIS, VIMS)
• Ability to work as part of a team and step up when needed
• Commitment to safe work practices and job quality
• Current unrestricted C Class MANUAL Australian Drivers Licence
